Reverend Stephen P. Horn was ordained in 2000. He came to Unity Church of the Bay Area in May of 2001 by way of Missouri, having ministered to small churches in the area surrounding Unity Village in Kansas City during ministerial school and after ordination. He also worked in the chapel office at Unity Village Chapel, World Headquarters of Unity.
Before his call to ministry, Reverend Stephen led a busy dual professional life working in both the newspaper and entertainment industries. He speaks passionately of his love for music, having owned his own successful disc jockey business providing music and entertainment at social and corporate functions in the Indianapolis area for over fifteen years.
When asked what inspired him to become a minister while having such an apparently successful life, he replied:
"I came to know that each of us has many gifts and talents. I knew that I was successful by the worlds standards, yet felt a stirring inside. I know that we are most happy when our work is our pleasure and joy. I began to ask God, What would make my heart sing? So in seeking to know God's will for myself, I was led on a spiritual path to my call in the ministry."
"I believe that every person has the possibility to claim the same experience as Jesus Christ. We can be connected to God so completely and so intimately that we can bring forth the healing, transformation and abundance that our hearts desire. God loves us completely, just the way we are. And God sees in us the potential to be more than we are today. I invite each person to open to and experience God's love in their own unique and endless way."
Reverend Steves vision is that everyone hear the message of Unity, the message of practical, positive Christianity that can transform lives and create peace and order in our lives.
